BBQ Burners
It is every barbecuer’s nigthmare. You go to grill and dang it. The BBQ burner has burned out! It is enough to make you want to kick the grill, throw it in the trash and buy a new one. But, before you go storming off to buy an expensive grill, check out burner replacements. You might save your grill and a lot of money.
How to Replace BBQ Burners (Propane)
- First check your owner’s manual to determine which burner you will need.
- Remove the old burners. Generally, this can be done with a slight tug. If this does not work, then you will need to check the owner’s manual to determine the proper technique to remove the burner.
- Check the connector piece. You want to make sure it is clean and free from any visible damage. You can clean the piece with hot soapy water. Then dry thoroughly.
- Insert the new burners. This will be the reverse of how you took it out.
- Turn on the propane tank and listen for sounds of leaks. You can also spray a solution of soapy water onto the burner. If it bubbles, then there is a leak.
If everything goes right, you should be able to install a new burner in a matter of minutes.
